I love teaching beginner photographers. It helps me to stay sharp and creative in my own business. I enjoy sharing and demonstrating techniques that will inspire and help my students to understand how to control their camera and ultimately become better photographers.
It is rewarding when someone who I am instructing has an "Aha" moment and discovers they can get an awesome image by making a minor adjustment to the camera settings, such as using a slower shutter speed.
Or using a wide open aperture.
Or how to properly expose for a silhouette.
My hope is that my students come away confident that they can take great pictures by taking control of the camera and not letting the camera dictate the settings it wants to use in automatic mode. Here are some actual images from a few of my past students:

Nancy - Absolutely loved the
beginner photography class you teach. Really learned a lot and started me feeling more comfortable with a camera and developing more interest in further learning the art. Do you plan to teach a more advanced digital photography class with the adult education in the future? ( I had also taken photo shop with you and getting better acquainted with that now.)
